COOKER RECIPE: Hearty
Yellow Pea Soup
2-cups dry yellow split peas
1-ham bone
1-large onion, chopped
3-stalks celery, chopped
2-carrots, chopped
1-clove garlic, minced
1-bay leaf
1-tsp pepper
In a large bowl, soak peas in about 6-cups of water for 12-24 hours
Drain and rinse
Place in slow cooker
Add 6-cups water, ham bone, onion, celery, carrots, garlic, bay leaf and pepper to slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until vegetables are tender
Discard bay leaf
