SNACK RECIPE:
Sausage Cheese Balls
Sent in by Janette Budnark, thanks!

Jan says: This is an easy and quick recipe to make.  It freezes well so you can make it in advance for the upcoming holiday season

1-lb bulk sausage meat - (I use a pound of hot Italian sausage, if using from link sausage, take out of the casing)
2-cups Bisquick
1/4-cup water - plus 1/4 cup of water
2-cups cheddar cheese, grated ( I use half mild and half sharp)

Cook sausage meat and drain off all the fat
Break it into tiny pieces (I use my food processor)
Mix sausage pieces, Bisquick and cheese
Add the first 1/4 cup of water and mix
If the mixture is not sticking together gradually add the other 1/4 cup and mix until it sticks together
Form into small balls
Place ball on greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes in a preheated 350 F oven
When you take them out of the oven check to see if any have stuck to the pan, if they have take a spatula and move them gently without breaking

Makes about 36 balls
