SLOW
COOKER RECIPE: Bean Potpourri
2-15oz. cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
1-16oz. can of pinto beans, undrained
4-medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1-large onion, thinly sliced
2-tsp salt
3-slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled
1-lb. crosscut beef shank, cubed
1/2-lb. smoked ham hock, cubed
3-4oz. Polish sausage, thinly sliced
2-1/2-cups water
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and stir well
Cover and cook on low for 8-12 hours or on high for 4-6 hours
