COOKER RECIPE: Marinated BBQ Brisket
4-5 lb fresh beef brisket
2 teaspoons unseasoned meat tenderizer
1/2-tsp celery salt
1/2-tsp seasoned salt
1/2-tsp garlic salt
1/2-tsp liquid smoke
1/4-cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2-cups barbecue sauce
Place brisket on a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil
Sprinkle tenderizer and seasonings on both sides of the meat
Pour liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce over top
Cover and marinate in refrigerator 6-10 hours or over night
Place foil-wrapped brisket in slow-cooker (cut brisket in half if it won't fit)
Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours
Chill brisket, and then cut across grain into thin slices
Before serving, re-heat in Lesley's
Top Secret BBQ sauce or your favourite sauce
