Tequilla
Time for tequilla!

Margarita (Shaken)

2-limes, halved and juiced, rinds reserved
4-oz premium tequila
4-oz. Cointreau or triple sec
Margarita salt

Fill 2 stemmed glasses with crushed ice, set aside
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add limejuice, tequila and Cointreau
Shake well
Empty ice from glasses, rum rims of glasses with pulp side of lime
Get moisten site into a saucer of salt
Strain margaritas into glass

Makes 2 drinks

 

 

Margarita (Frozen)
2-lime wedges
Salt
1-cup crushed ice
11/2-oz tequila
1/2-oz Cointreau
1/2-oz lemon juice
1/2-oz limejuice
Dash of sugar syrup

Run a wedge of lime around the rim of a cocktail glass
Dim the rim into a saucer of salt
Knock off excess
Chill the glass
Place the crushed ice, tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice, limejuice and sugar syrup in a blender
Blend until mixture is smooth
Pour into glasses
Garnish with remaining wedge of lime

Makes 1 drink

Simple Sugar Syrup
1-part water
1-part sugar

Bring to a boil until sugar dissolves, stirring
Remove from heat
Cool
