We had to do some digging but one favourite from when I was a kid was the Ice Cream Crispies. I guarantee your kids will love it. We've listed below a few recipes the kids will love from throughout the site.

Bacon Wrapped Dogs

Wieners
1 slice of bacon per wiener
Cheddar cheese


Fry the bacon just enough so that it is partially cooked, not crispy
Slice the wieners half way through, lengthwise
Stuff the cheddar cheese slices into the wieners
With toothpicks to hold, wrap the bacon around the wiener
Bake at 325* for 10 minutes

Corn Pups

1-cup pancake mix
2/3-cup yellow cornmeal
1-tbsp granulated sugar
1-tsp seasoning salt
Pepper
1 large egg
3/4-cup milk
2-tbsp cooking oil
3-4oz cans of cocktail wieners (or 8 regular wieners each cut into 5 pieces)

Stir pancake mix, cornmeal, sugar, seasoning salt, and pepper together in a bowl
Add egg and cooking oil
Stir well
Insert wooden toothpicks into each sausage, leaving about 1 inch exposed
Dip each sausage into cornmeal mixture using a spoon to help cover completely
Put sausages into hot (375*) cooking oil in deep fryer
Cook, turning to brown both sides evenly
Remove with slotted spoon
Drain on paper towels

English Pizzas

English Muffins
Mozzarella Cheese
Pizza Sauce (or bottled spaghetti sauce)
Your favourite pizza toppings
Italian seasoning
Parmesan cheese


Slice the English muffins in half, toast
Spread the pizza sauce over each English muffin
Cover with the mozzarella
Add your toppings
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
Bake @ 350* for 10-15 minutes


Kettle Corn
or Sugar Corn


1/2-cup popcorn
1/4-cup white sugar
4 tablespoons vegetable oil for popping


Heat oil in medium saucepan until hot
Add popcorn and sprinkle all of the sugar over it
Cover and shake continuously until popped.



Nutty Crunch

1/2-cup Brown sugar; packed
1/2-cup Dark corn syrup
1/4-cup Margarine or butter
1/2-tsp Salt
6-cups Toasted oat cereal
1-cup Pecan halves (or walnuts, peanuts)
1/2-cup Slivered almonds


Heat oven to 325*
Grease jelly roll pan, 15x10"
Heat brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in 3 qt saucepan over medium heat
Stir constantly, until sugar melts, about 5 minutes
Remove from heat. Stir in cereal and nuts until well coated
Spread mix in pan
Bake 15 minutes
Cool 10 minutes
Loosen mix with a metal spatula
Let stand until firm, about 1 hour
Store in covered container

Makes 8 cups.


S'more Shreddies

1/4-cup margarine
1-package (400g.) mini marshmallows
6-cups Shreddies cereal
1/2-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt margarine in 3-quart saucepan over low heat
Add marshmallows; toss to coat with margarine
Heat and stir until smooth
Gradually add cereal, mix lightly until well coated
Press into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan
Sprinkle with chips; press down lightly
Cool, cut into squares

Makes about 24


**Ice Cream Crispies**

1-cup corn syrup
1-cup peanut butter
6-cups rice crispies
Vanilla ice cream


Mix corn syrup, peanut butter, and rice crispies together
Line a bundt pan, or tube pan with the rice crispy mix, climbing up the sides
Put a layer of ice cream in the middle, and cover with more of the rice crispy mix
When you're finished, you should be able to take a slice and see an ice cream circle in the middle
Freeze
