DESSERT
RECIPE:
Chocolate Truffle Squares
3-squares semi-sweet chocolate
2-squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2-cup butter
2-eggs
1-cup sugar
1-tsp vanilla
1/2-cup flour
1/2-tsp baking powder
1/4-tsp salt
1-cup mini marshmallows
1/2-cup chopped hazelnuts
Glaze:
4-squares semi-sweet chocolate
1/4-cup whipping cream
Brownie:
Melt the chocolate and butter together, stirring until blended smooth
Beat together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly in a mixing bowl
Stir in chocolate mixture
Combine flour, baking powder and salt
Stir into chocolate batter with the marshmallows and nuts
Mix well
Spread into a 8" square cake pan, lined with aluminum foil
Bake @350°F for 20-25 minutes
DON'T OVERBAKE; they'll firm up on cooling
Cool
Remove from pan and invert onto waxed paper for glazing
Smooth bottom should be on top
Glaze:
Melt chocolate and cream together slowly, stirring until smooth
Spread over square
Chill to set glaze
Cut into small squares
Store in fridge
