RECIPE: Corn Fritters with Maple Syrup
1-egg, well beaten
3/4-cup milk
1-tbsp maple syrup
1-cup flour
1-tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1-cup corn niblets
Oil for frying
Combine the dry ingredients together
Beat the wet ingredients together with a fork and add to the dry
Mix until almost incorporated and then add corn
Pour 2 inches of vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat
Drop large spoonfuls into hot oil
Turn over when they begin to brown
Cook until golden on both sides
Serve hot with melted butter and maple syrup
