Chili Cheddar Biscuits

1 1/3-cups all-purpose flour
3-tsp baking powder
3-tsp dried parsley
1-tsp chili powder
1/4-tsp salt
1/2-cup cold butter or margarine
1/2-cup milk
1-egg, beaten
1 1/2-cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients
Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Stir in milk and egg just until moistened
Add cheese; mix well
Turn onto a lightly floured surface
Roll to 1/2-inch thick
Cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter
Place 1-inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet
Bake in a 450*F oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden
Serve warm

Makes 15 biscuits
